Hey everyone! Welcome to the Revisions Literary Magazine of Loyola blog.
Today is Revisions' first reader's meeting of the semester! It takes place outside Monroe Library at 7:00pm. I have reserved the Library Living room for us at 7:30, so after everyone arrives we will move into that room to take care of some business. Things that will be covered include:
1. Orientation with the editors.
Fiction editor: the dynamic juggler, Stewart Sinclair.
Poetry editor: the quick witted and silver tongued Lexi Wangler.
(PS. We are still looking for an ART EDITOR who is an ART MAJOR: tell your friends!)
2. Orientation for the readers.
It's important that we all get to know one another, and understand our purpose, because our relationship will not be merely reading and voting on what goes in the magazine. Revisions staff should work as a team, with all players contributing equally fantastic characteristics to the magazine.
3. Picking of groups.
Readers will choose either poetry, fiction, or art groups. You will set tentative meeting dates and locations for the reading of submissions, and share contact information.
4. Setting of deadlines, explanation of policies & goals.
I hope to see all of you there, but if you can't make it, email remitche@loyno.edu to set up another meeting time. It's that easy!
CHEERS,
Ryan Mitchell, editor-in-chief.
